Just saw my first Valentine’s Day commercial, I wanted to shoot the television screen…

It’s just another ordinary day people, but no Capitalists had to make a business out of it and declare it be Valentine’s Day every Feb. 14! A glorious time to spend a couple of dollars for a Hallmark Card, half of your paycheck for jewelry, and a couple of hundreds on a nice getaway…don’t even get me started on the overpriced roses!

Oy vey! I must admit, if I was playing on the other side and HAD to celebrate this arbitrary but (seem to be) significant day, I would probably be less cynical about all this…but note: I’d still be cynical.

For all of you lovebirds out there…Go watch the VOW, have a nice excursion, do something you both have never done before, and just enjoy. It’s only a day! If you’re lucky enough to be with the person (you think) you’ll be spending the rest of your life with, you’ll have DECADE’s of Valentine’s Days ahead.” 

…Then by the time I realized I am in no possession of a gun, the commercial was over and just moved on.
